Steeda's New Belt Drive System |
Steeda has always been on the forefront of new aftermarket technology for Mustangs and this time is no different with the introduction of a new Belt Drive system for Whipple superchargers. The Belt Drive system was developed for two reasons, the first being the dreaded belt slip which is very common and mostly goes unnoticed on Whipple superchargers. The second is a broken belt which can occur at any time without notice leaving you up creek without a paddle.
The Belt Drive system was specifically designed for the Ford 4.6-liter V8 engine and will endure harsh abuse and punishing service according to Steeda. Steeda's internal testing has revealed when the Belt Drive system is installed boost pressure increases to 12-13 psi from the standard intercooled 10 psi. The end result is consistent boost pressures along with the elimination of belt slippage.
